INOVA FCU and Safe Kids provide lifesaving tips to local families
Elkhart, IN- INOVA FCU and Safe Kids Elkhart County are hosting Elkhart County Safe Kids Day on June 16, from 8:00 am – noon. This annual event will be located in the parking lot of INOVA Federal Credit Union.
Information from many local agencies makes this day a sure-fire way to educate the community about the many hazards kids encounter on a daily basis. Representatives from local nonprofit organizations will be available to discuss such topics as: water safety, fire safety, poison look-a-like, dog bite prevention, wheel safety and much more. The morning will be packed with activities, games and snacks for the kids, and a drawing will be conducted for a boy’s and girl’s bicycle.
Highlights of the day include: a free car seat check, the fire safety smoke house, and a bicycle rodeo. New car seats will be distributed to families with outdated or unsafe versions and a limited number of bicycle helmets will be distributed to children who participate in the bicycle rodeo.
INOVA Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, financial cooperative headquartered in downtown Elkhart, Indiana. INOVA FCU has twelve branch locations in six states, serving over 33,000 members and over 400 select employee groups.
