Changing Our Name But Not Our Mission
Elkhart, IN - After
65 years of serving the employees of
Bayer Corporation and others in the
Michiana community, Bayer Federal Credit
Union (BFCU) and its division, Michiana
Credit Union, will soon change its
name to INOVA Federal Credit Union.
Bayer Federal Credit Union will change
to INOVA Federal Credit Union over
the next few months to facilitate a
smooth
transition to a new name.
The name change is a result of the growth and expansion of the membership of BFCU and a forward-thinking management team and board of directors. “We feel our name needs to reflect the future of this credit union at a time when we are seeing significant changes to our core sponsor group. As Bayer Corporation continues to make changes to their operations, we wanted to make sure our members know we are looking to the future and are committed to maintaining our mission of ‘improving our members’ financial well-being,’” says Dallas W. Bergl, President and CEO.
Members will begin to see the new name in February 2007, with a complete signage changeover and newly designed website targeted for March 1, 2007. Members will experience no disruption in services or products as a result of the name change.
Bayer Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, financial cooperative headquartered in downtown Elkhart, Indiana. BFCU has twelve branch locations in six states, serving over 33,000 members and over 400 select employee groups.
